Lightning 2012 DA ID

New year coming up so I decided to make a new Deviantart ID drawing. Well here it is after 15 hours ( yes 15 hours... ) of work. So I hope it looks good. Total number of layers was 84!

Anyway this is Lightning's natural environment, he prefers to be out in the wilderness instead of populated areas. So he resides mainly in this forest except when going out to visit his friends. This is his home and he's glad to run around the area while enjoying all the wild life. Except for the occasional times he runs into Jungle Cats, his only enemy in the area. But they tend to fear and flee from him whenever he's in their territories.

He lives within a cave which is filled with a very large variety of plants, some only within the caves within the area. Also his famous vines only occupy a few of the caves in the area. With all the plants around in his cave, many produce fruit that he tends to chow down on when too lazy to go out hunting at the moment to sustain any hunger. Some unique and only in the caves of the areas.

The place is a dense forest, which the ground can not be seen from flying above due to all the trees canopy blocking view. There are marsh areas around, while other areas have streams with crystal clear water. Not the entire forest is filled with thick trees. Some areas have open fields to land in, but they're far and few between. None of them extremely close to his cave. They're the only entrance to the area once you go inside the forest.

Species: Electric Dragon

Gender: Male

Height: 10 feet on all fours, while around 21 feet when on his hind legs.

Length: Around 18 feet, tail being slightly longer than the average dragon.

Weight: around 500 pounds

Elements: Electricity, but does have Ice as a side element. ( he does however have another element called Convexity but more on that later)

Personality: A bit shy around new dragons, but very friendly once he knows you. He tends to like being out in the wilderness instead of heavily populated areas. Particularly jungle areas. He’s very protective of his family and friends and will attack if something threatens them.

Features: Scales are mainly yellow. His back has a black patch that runs from the back of his neck to most of his tail length. He has 31 lightning bolts on his body, 4 on each of his legs, which have a black back that connect them around the back of his legs, and 4 oh his neck, 5 on his sides and 6 on his tail. * each side of his body has the same amount but they’re only seen from one side at a time. His paws, belly scales, oval on his tail, his shark fin shaped crescents on his back and the one on his head which are several combined together are gray in color. He has 10 shark fins on his back and tail. His claws are black, while his wings are black with a light colored gray membrane. The Claws on his wings are an even lighter gray. His eyes are blue, his horns are black with two yellow bands on each of them, while his lightning bolt shaped tail blade is black. He also has two black moon crescents that connect from his eyes to the beginning of his mouth. He has a light gray colored chain on his neck along with 4 bracelets on each of his legs with white crystals.

Abilities: He mainly uses his electricity to attack his foes or prey. Like his paralyzing darts which temporarily causes paralysis. He also uses his electricity to charge his legs to he can runs much faster than normal, and is very agile in this stage, but not the best of an attacker while doing this unless he stops to initiate an attack.

Armor: He does have an armor set that is mainly used to enhance his electric abilities. It helps conserve the amount of electricity he uses, while making it slightly stronger. Its very light weight so not too much defense, but he tends to move fast around his foes making him hard to hit with slow attacks.

Convexity: He has a dark element called convexity, which is only accessed when he’s in his dark form. His dark form causes his body to grow around two thirds in size, while his wings more than double in size, but have smile holes and tears in them. He’s quite a bit bulky in this form and can move surprisingly fast, but not as fast as his regular self. He mainly attacks with the same speed style, but his attacks are more deadly now since he combines his convexity into his other elements, which gives them a bit of an explosive element to them. Using straight up convexity packs quite a wallop against foes, but it does drain him of his energy. So he can’t be in the form too long. He has one very powerful attack his convexity bomb, which he focuses all the convexity in his body into a single ball of convexity then fires it at the foe which explodes on impact. However it leaves him very drained after using it, and in many cases he’ll automatically convert back to his regular self. He has another ability to create portals for fast transportation. But they take quite awhile to produce and drain him of a lot of convexity.

Other: Despite having the convexity form he dislikes it which, is why the crystals he wears are important. They prevent him from using almost all of his convexity based abilities, except sensing dark presences around. Depends on the strength of the darkness for how far away he can pick it up. He otherwise only uses the form in battle or when someone request to see it for important reasons.
